At some point in our lives every motorsport fan or sim racer has this idea to take a racing course and become a fully licensed racing driver. For some this turns out to be a successful endeavor while for others well, it's less than an ideal situation as you can see heeeeeeere in our media gallery.

If the instructor was professional he would have remained calm and asked the guy to make sure he is pushing brake not clutch , if the car continued not to slow down then he should have gradually pulled on the "hand brake" or "E brake" as they call it in USA.

Its also not like they were going that fast and they had plenty of run off could have just coasted there way around if they had to or maybe flicked the car into a spin if everything failed.

Video is a good example of how panicking is not of help , mind you when you are in the situation its hard to say how everyone would react.
