Hello,

First of all good news. It is still possible to mod the car skins. Bad news is that is is still the same as with F1 2015. That means it is quit hard to mod something and not everything is possible.


This is my actual Skin Mod for the Williams FW38. There are no mirror graphics or something like that. I decided to do it without Martini Logo because of mirroring. It is Version 1.0, so maybe some updated will follow.

He found a folder that contained the livery files but not saved in a .mipmap that could be extracted using the Ego Erp Archiver

D:\Steam\SteamApps\common\F1 2016\asset_groups\f1_2016_vehicle_package\teams and then you have to replace the .erp file with the new .erp file (sry for my bad english)

Convert it to a dds from Noesis to export it as a TGA. Edit in Photoshop or whatever.

To put it back, you have to use a hex editor like HxD Remove the 128 byte header at the beginning of the file and then rename the file to what it originally was and inject back into the game with the original file.

Unfortunately you can't add the martini logo because it would be mirrored (backwards) on one side of the car
