F1 2011 WT....How is this possible

After my pit stop I checked the Race Director and Rosberg was 1st and havent done the pit stop, the gap was 19 seconds. With some laps remaining I re checked the race director again and showed he has done his pit stop but the gap still higher, the gap was 23 seconds.

With a gap of 19seconds I could overtake him while his pitting or at least be close to him

Could it have been that he was actually in the process of pitting at the time you checked the race director? If so he could have come out still with a decent lead which he increased on his fresher tyres during the period before you checked the director again... just an idea.
