Talent Files and AI Performance Update for F1 1986 mod by Rogerio Pascote 1.0

Login or Register an account to download this content
Hi,

this little update contains three things:

1.
Talent files for the AI
Faster cars of the 1986 season will set the pace now in qualifying (if they do not get stuck in traffic) and race. Backmarkers of the season lose some seconds compared to pole position.

Update also includes a modified series file you need that the talent files work in game.

2.
You might have noticed that many cars, especially the faster ones (Cat A and B), tend to go off track very often and crash.
With this update, the AI stays on track.

3. Within the Vehicles/F1T86/Tyrrell folder, some files had wrong names. Corrected now.

Installation:
1.
Of course, you must have installed Rogerio Pascote's fantastic F1 1986 mod conversion (thanks again :)).
You can download the original mod here:

2.
Download this update to your HD and unzip it.
Copy/paste the folders "Gamedata" and "Series" to your main installation folder of the game allowing to overwrite.
I. e.:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\Automobilista

Please backup the files of the original mod before.

Update was tested on following tracks:
Road America, Magny Cours, Brands Hatch, Hockenheim 01, Imola 88 and Jacarepagua 88.

Known Issues:

AI cars are slower now, but at least they can stay on track.
In order to have close races, you might have to increase AI driver strength.

Feel free to adjust this update at your own convenience. If you play online, please be sure that all players have the same files of the mod installed in order to avoid any mismatches.

Have fun!
