Assetto Corsa Competizione 1.8 Hitting Consoles September 29

A long wait for Playstation and Xbox players of Assetto Corsa Competizione is finally coming to an end. The massive physics overhaul of ACC 1.8 is finally coming to both Playstation 5 and Xbox Series X|S!

  1. improved tyre model
  2. 400 Hz physics engine
  3. extended gameplay settings
the all new physics update will bring to the newest console generation what PC users have been using since November of 2021.

Expect large gameplay changes along the lines of an "Open Season" which ought to merge all game content into a sandbox mode with grid customization.

Furthermore, and most importantly, the tyre models and physics engine will receive a massive overhaul, allowing for a more realistic racing experience.

What we do not know is whether the upscaling technology FSR received implementation in the new update. Even though it was included in the 1.8 update on PC, and the newest console generation supports it, we have to wait until the official patch notes to confirm or deny inclusion.

Next up on the list are the Challengers Pack and American Track Pack DLC for porting.

What would be great is to be able to have both console and PC clients connect to the same ACC servers so users of both - or is that either? - can race against each other.
Perhaps something for V2?
more.. 'just send it' ??
