Ever since the beginning of the year, the newly created Straight4 Studios team has been firmly in the spotlight. Promising a game perfect for motorsport fans, GTRevival is rapidly approaching with WMD early access kicking off as early as this winter.

In recent weeks, more and more details have emerged about the upcoming sim concerning both features the team is aiming to include and content featuring at launch. Over the weekend, the company’s CEO Ian Bell took to the page formerly known as Twitter to playfully announce a pair of tracks bound for the sim.

Lime Rock Park, Sebring Coming to GTRevival

Indeed, utilising his showman persona, Bell teased fans with a selection of word games akin to crossword hints. Mentioning that he was announcing two new tracks for the game, he allowed his followers to guess at what circuits are coming. Those that guessed correctly will receive the early access version of GTRevival for free.

For the first circuit, Bell offered the original hint, “A four-time champion’s adornment.” With seemingly no-one catching on, the clues became somewhat easier starting out with, “F1 driver’s nickname, jewellery.” Finally, the game concluded when the final clue, “Multi-21 finish, finger band” gave it all away. ‘Seb’ from Sebastian Vettel and ‘Ring’ confirms Sebring to join Interlagos in GTRevival.

Next up, it seems the developer’s followers woke up for the second circuit. Indeed, just one hint sufficed for a trio of fans to guess correctly. “Makrut mineral” lead Infinity848 on X to immediately guess Lime Rock Park.

So there you have it. It seems GTRevival will see the Americas well-represented with Sebring, Lime Rock Park and Interlagos kicking off the track list. So far, we have seen the Audi R8 LMS GT3 Evo II in screenshots, though Bell has confirmed it will not feature in the game. However, the Lister Storm GT1 was announced last week whilst Group C machinery also features in a number of screenshots.

Call me crazy but nothing coming soon has my interest like this one. If Reiza's help can make this sim feel as good as AMS2 and everything else is done to the level of Bell's previous stuff than shut up and take my money already :)

PS. Thanks for your moderation work, Kenny. You are appreciated!

PPS. Don't make me regret "shut up and take my money", Ian!

I'm expecting VR Support. It is one thing Slightly Mad Studios did really well with, the VR in Project Cars and Project Cars 2 worked really well with the Madness Engine. And overall I really enjoyed both games once they were 6 months into the development cycle. They were terribly buggy on release (especially on Xbox). The games may not have been as much of a sim as many would have wanted, but I did enjoy both games a lot, and they rekindled my love for sim racing. I just don't take what Ian Bell says seriously until I see it myself. So I won't be preordering this time around, I will wait and see what the game is like once its released and maybe wait a few months for bugs to be fixed. But I do hope that the game will be a good addition to the sim racing genre.

I know this thread is about tracks, but what about that BMW in the Lime Rock Park image? Is that the M4 GT3 or the M6/M8???

My final reply on this.
RD is and was always about it's forums and it's discussion threads as well as a place for safe online racing.
The mods and other things are a very welcome surplus to that.
Like most of the internet things have changed in the past few years but I like to think that by comparison to the site you mentioned our toxicity levels are pretty low and although some of our members occasionally let their passions overcome them it still remains a good place for racing game discussion and debate.
Can we talk about the fact Overtake is owned by Porsche and that a former comment of mine (without knowing that information) had been deleted because I had stated few historical facts about German manufacturers, just to bring a reflexion about brands? Are RD employees just sold to Hell? This is my final reply to this. I know this won't be published, but I do dare ask you to think about your position.

My position is that I try to moderate the forums, I have staff powers to help me with that. I try to use our TOS board rules in what I hope is a fair and impartial manner.(I'm sure some will disagree with that)
From my pov nothing has changed in the eight years I've been staff, nobody tells me how to do my job and am pretty well left to get on with it.
If I have something I'm not sure about I ask senior management as I've always done.

Well, we'll see if this game even develops into anything other than a sim-wannabe/arcade racer. I for one have lost all respect for Ian Bell.... as a fairly big supporter of PC1, his twisted promises and lies. Then he simply sold out... now he's back... I don't buy it.
