We are moving fast to the release date of last WRC title developed by Nacon and now we finally have a clear picture of the content we will enjoy in this last instalment before the WRC license goes to EA and Codemasters.

In this brief note, developers declare that we will race through 165 stages on 21 locations covering a lot of rallies included in the past editions of this development cycle since WRC 5. There isn't any plan to add more location content afterwards, so we will enjoy everything from the beginning.

Hello drivers,

In WRC Generations you will play through 165 unique special stages set in 21 rallies, a compilation of most of the rallies which KT Racing has worked on since WRC 5. You can find the complete list at the bottom of this blog.

You will note that from the rallies we have released since WRC 5, two of them,
Rally Poland (last appeared in WRC 7 but partially available as the Test Area) and
Rally Australia (last appeared in WRC 8) won't be present in WRC Generations, we don't have plans to add them or additional rallies after the launch of the game on November 3.

I liked WRC8 a lot in spite of its weird FFB. The stages were just so amazing. That alone made up for a lot. DR2 has authentic road layouts, which is certainly nice, but the WRC series sort of compressed real locations by including recognizable landmarks but cutting out any tedium in between. A lot of it was fantasy but it made for incredibly varied stage designs with a ton of flavor. Say what you will about the rest of the game, but they did a phenomenal job on the locations.

Unfortunately, I could never get perfectly smooth performance on my pc. It ran nominally fine but there was always a subtle unevenness or micro slowdowns. What made me stop playing though was that the AI times were ridiculously unbalanced at times. For example, they seemed barely affected by rain, so I would start a campaign and everything was fine until a rain stage showed up and then I had to pray I had enough of a lead built up on the dry stages to eat it... It was pretty frustrating.

I watched the releases of WRC9 and WRC10, debating when to jump back on board. This being the studios last entry in this series, I would be very interested in getting their "definitive" WRC game, so to speak. That is, if performance is stable and the AI is more consistent.

is this the new vacuum sound simulator?if you know how car drives this game (franchise)its not for you! why there is pop up windows on this site??i f...... hated

awful physics, awful ffb, awful response with a wheel........, full on the arcade side, no thanks

I am exited with this release but at the same time convinced it will only last for a couple of months ! Then its right back to RBR Vanilla for that great rally experience that no other developer still haven't come close to !

18 years and counting !

Now you're confusing Dirt Rally with WRC again !
For true Rally feel and experience there still is only one true SIM !
RBR Vanilla !

As DR2 is my most-played game, and I’m still a long way from getting bored with it, I’m likely to take a wait-and-see approach to this. I’d like to try Generations, but probably not at full price, I’m afraid. I tried out WRC8 for free and the physics just didn’t seem right to me, so maybe I’ll just wait until Codemasters take over the franchise.
Expect to be disappointed when Codies takes over !
It'll be the same old boring stage design and horrible FFB and road feel !

RBR remains the most satisfying to drive Rally title to date for me. Unfortunately, I'm not able to use any of the mods without breaking motion support so, vanilla RBR is the only option.

Dirt Rally2 looks and sounds great but, the ffb is incredibly lacking, imo. WRC10 is interesting for its stage design but, can't compete with DR2 in other areas except, I find the ffb in WRC10 is somewhat better than DR2's.

The lack of controller support in WRC10 is also problematic, not to mention lack of VR. I'm waiting for the day when some insane developer attempts to combine all the best features of these three Rally titles to create the ultimate Rally simulation.:)

This may be a minority view, but I'm pretty disappointed the series is moving to codemasters, as I found the handling in DR2 very fake in comparison to WRC 9. DR2 seems to have this weird force that makes the car want to understeer when it just shouldn't.

It'll be a cold day in hell when Codies make a decent SimCade !
They are as arcade as arcade can be.

RBR Vanilla still is the only Sim and with proper damage model !
The physics makes up for the not so great graphics and audio but as a Rally car experience RBR Vanilla is still completely unbeatable.
