2012 IndyCar Series

Weird that the car of Alesi cant race anymore because its to slow?

IndyCar has had a record of 27-28 cars on road course grids but they have been struggling to even get up to 33 cars for Indy.

Unfortunately, bump day this year is just to set the grid order as Alesi got on the grid by default. It's because of the new engine formula and the new chassis and that makes it in very limited supply for this year. We've had more teams but less spare satellite teams to run one offs at Indy.

That's why this year Indy barely made 33 cars. Also Lotus has been horribly slow in Indy this year. To put it into perspective. RedBull are the Chevys. McClaren are the Hondas, and Caterham are the Lotus. So you have to forgive Alesi and Simona for being so slow with a poor engine and in poor teams to begin with.

Haven't watched Indy 500 cause I elected to watch the Monaco GP instead. I already know the spoilers unfortunately but I will catch it later :) Sounds like this year was a good one
