2019 Formula One Austrian Grand Prix

If it's forbidden i have no problem with the penalty because it's clear on the replay that Verstappen forced Leclerc out of the track...

RBR instructed Verstappen to change something on his wheel, probably overriding a safe guard which was alarming and limiting engine power. Horner also explained on F1 TV that is was an exhaust sensor causing the 'reported' loss of power
as horner explained it on sky f1 it was a exhaust sensor that was troubling and max could by pass that on steering wheel problem solved. great win from max.

Well deserved, max was faster yes but in what racing series can you simply force someone off track? Max was unwinding the steering, if he kept the lock in he could easily have left leclerc room like the previous lap. There is no "having the corner" if the slower car is supposed to simply move over when they are side by side then THAT is not racing. If max was so much faster he could have gone side by side and out break Charles into the next corner where max would have the inside and superior line. Instead he just says move or crash.

Not counting the decision of the stewards, it was the best race of the season. Also, I'm happy that it was the two drivers born in '97 who were in contention for the win.

The likes of Senna and Gilles Villeneuve would turn in their graves at todays stewards . Leclerc backed off into the corner , Max took the lead and so had first dibs in the racing line and then it's up to LeClerc to back off .

They both know the rules though so leclerc took the line best suiting to his Ferrari. He knows verstappen can't push him off like that so going around the outside was the better plan.
If there would've been gravel, grass or different rules then I'm pretty sure leclerc would've stuck to the inside line, hanging verstappen out to dry.

You decide the rules first, then stick to it. If you want things to be different, change the rules first, then stick to the new rules.

No Verstappen had the racing line . End of , not arguing .
He had the racing line because the drivers on the outside know that they can't be forced off the track like this, according to the rules.
With different rules leclerc would've blocked the inside. Simple.
Change the rules, then the penalties will go away and the drivers will adjust.
Don't stop the penalties first...

2 hours for ANY decision ( be it for or against ) is a disgrace . There should be rules for the stewards that if they dont make their ruling by the time the drivers are on the podium then that's it . This is ridiculous for all parties concerned . F1 has become over sanitised , over regulated , over politicised garbage and to be honest the games are better than the real thing because they don't come with that side serving of rubbish . I would have said something other than ' rubbish ' but this is a family forum :)
