AI Limiter

I've come back to rFactor 2 after a long absence ; I updated to the latest version and I noticed something in the game called " AI Limiter." Can someone please explain what it does?

its basically a value that Limits the Ai strength and balances the field. Basically no limit will let the ai spread according to their own skill. Setting more and more limiting will keep the ai bunched up further.
