I don't think that at that time there was a single person to tell him "No way Alex..". But it would be interesting to find out how many of people involved in his recovery, actually believed he would ever race again .

In this era of nanny state nonsense such as the halo, do you really think the FIA will allow Zanardi to race?

What about trying to get past doctors, insurers, the FIA and his loved ones? What did they think about his comeback after his CART crash? Did Zanardi make his comeback against doctor's orders? Did his insurance refuse to cover his post CART career? Did he have to argue with his loved ones and the FIA to make his comeback?
