No the release you are thinking about does the opposite, it allows you to choose an in game car as your My Team car. The mod I'm talking about about does the reverse

Well yeah, that's why if you make the livery on the Alfa Romeo chassis, I could then install it onto that chassis and use it as my MyTeam car. At least, that's what I have understood I need to do.

Problem is, I don't work on in-game chassis, I confine myself to My Team only. I stick to what I know

Stupid question, I’m new to modular mods. Got it installed, no issue, but how do I stop the MyTeam Sponsor’s and team emblem appearing on the suits and car? Thanks!!

Download this and then chose the blank emblem. This will remove any game sponsorship on the driver and team wear:
