Black screen after alt-tab (VR)

Having issues with AMS2 where if I alt-tab out, then either click game on taskbar or alt-tab back, I can see the game in my Rift S, but the monitor is black. If I leave it like that I can run the game fine in VR for a while, but eventually it'll freeze for a few seconds then sort itself out again.

Wasn't always like this, so either an AMS2 update or a graphics driver has introduced this issue. Really annoying as if it happens in online racing, it has the potential to cause me to wreck someone elses race (during the freeze I cannot control the car either).

Any one got any ideas? I'm currently doing a complete reinstall of the game, but not hoping for much.

Sometimes I have to alt-tab a few times to get out of ACC but get back in fine. No problems like your having. I've only started getting back into AMS2 recently and haven't had an issue. I'm using a Rift touch

A few sites I've read, not specific on AMS2 have suggested not running in fullscreen mode, but windowed or borderless.
