Sector3 Studios have made another big announcement regarding new content secured for their current motorsport simulator, RaceRoom Racing Experience, in the form of the new 2016 BMW M6 GT3.

With another "new style" GT3 car confirmed to be joining the sim alongside the already announced McLaren 650S RaceRoom aim to bring more 2016 flavour to the racing sim.

Fast becoming the closed top GT title of choice for fans of GT3 style competition, RaceRoom Racing Experience brings another new car to the sizable roster as the new M6 takes over as successor to the very popular BMW Z4 campaigned by works teams in a variety of GT racing series since 2010.

Although the announcement is new news to many in the sim racing community judging by the screenshots found in this article it looks like the team over in Sweden have already begun work on the car and are at a reasonably advanced stage of development already.

I love the design of this car, but I think the Z4 had a more unique look. this car looks very similar to the Mercedes AMG and the Bentley.

And I'd love to see it on AC and on iRacing as well.

How will the new GT3 cars fit in to the categories, with also having an ADAC pack of GT3's? Will there be a GT3 category like they have just done with P1 and P2's. You will have the Bentley, Mclaren and now the BMW. New Audi, Lambo, Nissan, Mercedes, Ferrari, Porsche? :D

Just as long as it has a better interior then the Alpina. :p

Much like they've done with physics I am finding myself more and more wanting a return to older cars graphically. It's very jarring to go from one of the other sims and be greeted by the same car looking quite different.

What? The AI is pretty good in R3E, I race em all the time. Not on as good as GSCE but way better than pCars and AC, and in my opinon better than the rF2 AI. Why didn't you like the AI, and when was the last time you tried them?

EDIT: chanced did to didn't
Tried it after the update. Saw countless times they couldn't get round the first corner without a pile up. Brake late into heavy braking corners then don't carry speed out. Lack of awareness. Sometimes really slow in corners for now reason. Can't get round crashes.

balance... gt3 is all about artificial balance so devs can have fun with it. theoretically the old cars could keep up with the new ones if they were re balanced to the newest years regs or vice versa.

Huh, I think the AI is pretty good, and I have had great fights against them. For me pileups happens quite rarely, and the race pretty clean for me. I usually have the AI set to 110-115, depending on what cars on what track. Did you do qualy? Without a qualy the fast AI might get stuck behind the slow, creating a pile up.

i probably need more time with the game. i do random qualy so that probably doesn't help. also i don't know if its me but i just can't get a good 'feel' with my t300rs. i have also been reading a lot of the forum posts at sector 3 and a lot agree about the ai.
