Can anyone help me against lagging?

Hi,

In the clubraces with Game Stock Car people reported I lagged alot during the race. I was warping all over the place. Can anyone help me with this issue?

I know about them but I dont how good they are. Can you try ethernet cable to check if that would solve your problem ?.

Could you come on the server with me to see how bad it is? I want to make sure I really need it and it isn't wasting my money.

You could ping your gateway->

Use ->ping -t (then your gateway number)
Ctrl+C to quit.

EDIT: Im on the RD F3 Server right now

The way you lagged in front of me yesterday Lars, was very weird, never seen anything liked it before, and it was very bad driving behind you, you never frozed or dissapeared, just going all over the track and also outside it, and your car where going sideways back on track, especially at T2

Is racing online any more susceptible to lag than FPS, say BF3?
I'm asking because I run my PC via wireless and have had no issues what so ever playing a plethora of FPS games as well as MMOs (which are much less susceptible to high ping but very to unstable connections with lots of drops). Guess I should test it once I get home.

@ Lars:

Didnt notice any lagging atall on the server just now. I watched you for a few laps and not a bit of lag atall. Probably have to see what its like with a full server at peek times but nothing noticed atm.

Let it run longer with the -t switch->ping -t xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx
How the ping ?. Any bigger or smaller values.

Then it just closes inmediately. I see the black screen very short and then it's gone. Can we go onto the server so we can chat? That might be handier.

edit: tried again, now it says I need to specify an ip-adress.

Wireless is not good for gaming.

Use your ethernet port.

Using a wire isn't really an option as I'm in a corner in the house and the WiFI is in the other. only one on the electricity net is an option.

Ethernet cable is very cheap, buy a long one, and do the test, if it works and solve the problem, use it when racing, other stuff you use wireless.
