DiRT Rally 2.0 Codemasters no more, acquisition by Take-Two.

So if they do the we can probably expect to see some serious monetisation enter the world of sim racing.
Grid, Dirt5, PCars3, all recent titles from Codemasters gravitate heavily to arcade side.
Don't see it as a big loss for sim racing.

pCars 3 were already well underway before Codemasters bought SMS, so that's probably more of an SMS decision than Codemasters.
Grid never was a sim, never meant to be.
The DiRT series alternate between sim-focused and arcade-focused. DR3 is coming.
The F1 series have moved more in to a fine middle-ground where they don't alienate the pick-up racers, while sim racers can have fun as well.

But like I said in another thread about Take Two and Codies here on RD. I can see this causes a big move from cosmetic MTX to "must have" MTX, unless you want a long long looong grind.

I don't like it.
