Competing in incorrect class

Hi everyone!

So, I've recently got GTR2! Just started the '04 championship, and I selected the BMW M3 (a GT2 car), but on the standings and timing screens etc. it shows my class as GT. Obviously I can't compete with the GT cars in a GT2! Anyone else encountered this issue/found a fix?

I have the 10th anniversary patch, '05 championship, and SHO AI mods installed, but otherwise all vanilla.

It is showing correct. The BMW M3 was no GT2 car in 2004. It competed in the G2 class in Spa 24H, wich is like a class with national series entries. I believe the official championship puts any G2 car in GT class.

Ah okay, that's weird though since the sister car (same car, different number) shows up as GT2 in the same places.

Correction: I meant my car shows up as GT class, when the sister car shows up as G2 class.

Oh I will check, it seems that you discovered a bug indeed as both twin cars should be in same class in theory, as said above G2/G3 were not competiting in FIA GT championship but were classed as :
G2 -> GT
G3 -> NGT

Thanks for reporting bug : I have replaced in classes line BMW_M3 by HQGTR_24 (because there was a conflict name with another mod) and the game recognizes it as GT tag so it is fixed in v14.0 now and will be uploaded this week-end, thanks @fruitbirb

Edit you can fix the bug yourself now by opening both .CAR files with notepad and replace in classes line HQGTR_24 by HQM3G_24
