Correct way to finish a race?

I am trying to go through a championship in the minis, i completed 1st race fine, I have had to attempt the second race twice because when I finished it didn't seem to register that I had ran the race(and won) its done that twice now but I'm sure I pressed the same button to exit the race as the first one.

Thats really annoying. I have had that problem many times. Wait until all cars have finished and back in the pits. Occasionally, pressing the back button too quick after the race will also cause this to happen. Also sometimes when you cancel your session mid race or mid qualifying it will complete your session as if you completed it and move you forwards either to the race from quali or from your unfinished race to the next one. Thats also annoying so tweaking your .srs files are needed.
