Crashing issue

I've updated to the latest version, latest drivers. done a reinstall etc. rFactor crashes as soon as i got to load a track.
edit: I'm running windows 7 64 bit, 4 gigs of ram, a p55 based motherboard and a 5870.

I don't know why steam would kill rfactor. I've installed it to multiple places and not luck. other isi engine games work fine such as arca sim racing and gtr2 work fine.

I think I might know what it is. You say there you have arca on your pc. Now I had this when I tried there demo I don't know why but when I put that on my pc it killed my rF. So this is what I would try is remove arca and rF Then do a new install of rF and see if that sorts it it worked for me. and if it works you know what it was.

I installed Arca after i installed rfactor, and rfactor's never worked.

Yeah that's what I did try doing the install with out arca on your pc see if that helps at all

I honestly doubt it would, rfactor didn't work before i installed arca, i can't see how removing arca would fix it.

i just installed windows 7 32 bit and got same problem?

fixed it by running as admin!!!
