Dash combo for my rig

I had tried many kind of dashboard last year,finally they have been mounted them on my rig.

It include 5 main dashboards:
cluster gauges(by 4 SwitecX25 step motors,and ws2812 lighters control),position can be adjusted in vertical

4.3 ' Nextion displayer and RPM displayer

7*8*8 Biomatrix (3 colors )dash & changeable indication lighters.

Led dash(8*14 segments in red,8*7 segments in white,on both side)

7' displayer with touch screen as the 4th screen.
Besides the above main dash,4 additonal dash modules as follows:
Tyre info and brake info displayer

color ringe for tyre temp,digit for tyre wear %
one serial lcd screen for brake or other info.

onthe left side,I made a g force meter to display my motion seat actual position.also add sim wind output under it.

the right side is a comerial boost meter

lcd4004 for additonal info or PC status

I see a lot of duplication of stuff that is already available on-screen via HUDs, so I wonder what the rationale is vs. bigger screens?

I also have such feeling,if I turn on all of them.
that's why I call it as dash combo. I should choose the dash module to turn on to compatible with different wheel.

When I build each module,I was satisfy with them,but put them all on rig,honestly I feel a little disappointed.Maybe just because as you said.

Of course HUD is more convenient for racing.
but I think
1) off screen dash may have real feeling when you check them (you have to move you sight ,and add diffculty for racing )
2) will give screen more clear , bigger and real view.
3) The most important is for the FUN of building

I build these modules in 4 phases.
1) cluster gauges and nextion .
2) g force meter and turbo meter
3) trye and addtional info displayer.
4) matrx and segments led displayer
most of them with arduino.
simhub on pc.for many hardware not supported(such as multi biomatrix)by simhub.
i use simhub to collect data, then write.your own code in custom part.
