dedicated server

I have a problem with joining a dedicated server that I have launched from the same PC where I start the normal Rfactor program. I can see the dedicated server on the race-list when I try to join the race in rfactor, but when i want to join I get a "Server time out".

Is it possibly to start a dedicated server and then start Rafctor and join the race started from the dedicated server?

I have checked that the ports are open and have all priviledge in the firewall setup.
