PC1 Does the game still not have AIs that perform consistently from race to race?

I'm specifically talking about career mode, where the performance of the AIs is, from what I've read in the past, mostly randomized from race to race, meaning a driver who's near the top in one race could easily be at the bottom the next and so on. The game is once again on sale, but the only way I'd currently consider it is if there was at least a mod to fix this, as it's a huge dealbreaker.

No such announcements have been made, that's the first time I've heard a complaint about this. There is a mod to make custom championships, but I have no idea if they allow specific AI usage such as you are asking. Check that mod first.

I'm genuinely surprised.

Just a few examples.

I just looked into it and it doesn't seem to have much to do with this issue.

I wouldn't even say it's randomized mate, it's generally just very, very poor. A prime example is yesterdays AI race I setup at Brands Hatch. You would probably expect at least one overtake within 35 laps, but nope, every car has the same behaviour and follows the exact same racing line.

Edit: Oh, and just to make things worse, I added a slow car into the mix. It was basically like watching a train..
