F1 Prediction Game 2009 - Monza

( Thanks to kalniel for this template )

Let's begin to give out our predictions of the Monza. If you don't know the rules and the game, check out this thread :

http://forum.racedepartment.com/formula-1/14278-f1-prediction-game-introduction.html

And here is the template you can use :
Code:

Podium :
1-) 5 points
2-) 3 points
3-) 1 point

Pole Position : 2 points

Fastest Lap : 1 point

First DNF : 1 point

Deadline: No more entries/edits to be made after the start of first practise

Tips: The scoring system heavily weighs towards getting the winner exactly right. Getting pole position and second place correct count a little bit, while fastest lap, 1st DNF and third place barely make any difference.

Why have you given first DNF to Alguersuari? Button travelled the least amount of distance in the race, but the FIA don't order DNFs if they occur on the same lap, so ordered Hamilton, Button, Grosjean and Alguarsuari by grid position - effectively they all DNF'd together.

But it's according to FIA's official results. What can we do about it ? Give points to predicters which selected 4 of them. Perhaps we can use a system like that in next predictions.

Well you're scoring so it's your call, just make it clear what the points are for. If it's for the FIA classified person in last place with a DNF then cool, just that's not always the same thing as the first person to DNF :p (eg Button could qualify on pole, crash out on the first corner, then Grosjean could crash out on corner 4 but still might be classified one place behind Button in the standings because he qualified lower - I don't know how the FIA decide but it doesn't appear to be any finer grained than a sector at most, possibly even a lap).

  • Bert Van Waes

Indeed, i'll keep this space reserved for the predictions, but will wait a bit more :)

Well if somethimg like that, Button crashes in first curve and Grosjean crashes in 4th curve. I will make Button the first DNF. But at Spa 4 of them crashed together.
