Then can someone explain to me how these whole calculation things work?

Ilmor got 9 dnf with 2 car ( Kederer and Jednak ) so 4.5 dnf per car

the average of all of dnf per car for 11 teams is 6 so 66 dnf in total in 1992 season

so 6 is 5000 for next year

so 4.5 - 6 = -1.5

-1.5x1000 ( to get same range of real value od COF) = -1500

-1500 is too high to use so i divide it by two so now the value is -750

so if 6=5000
4.5=4250 (5000-750)
