I think just the "Mate who watches a lot of formula 1" friend would probably be enough . Even a basic understanding of how racing works could contribute a lot!

Of course someone with a lot of knowledge of all types of racing, doing some sim racing him/herself, and has a pleasant voice would be perfect, but hey, a beginner with some interest in commentating is better than nothing at all

Race broadcast now live gentlemen! Enjoy. Having watched it last night to commentate with @Paul Glover I must admit I'm impressed - some exceptional racing throughout the field, awesome job gentlemen was a great race throughout.
