AC GT3 @ Oschersleben - Sun 14-Oct18

Assetto Corsa Racing Club event
oschersleben.png

This week we stay in Germany, to race at "Motorsport Arena Oschersleben" Consistently driving quickly is hard work on the fast and smooth circuit, there are key turns to master for a really fast lap. CAUTION CAUTION the very first bend is a 90-degree left and is a frequent source, of multi-car accidents, especially on the FIRST LAP.

A message to all Drivers
If you run off track, you have to check and see that its clear before you re-enter the track. Do not just keep the gas pinned and pull back on track.
When entering the track from the pits stay off the racing line until you are up to speed and do not race on your out lap. Let other drivers by in qualifying.
On re-entering the track stay off the racing line until you are up to race speed and do not block any fast approaching car. Remember, you've made the mistake by going off so let them by cleanly.
Golden Rule
  1. Be 100% sure it's not your fault and just carry on like nothing happened and take the risk of being banned for 30 days.
  2. Play on the safe side and wait for the affected drivers, knowing 100% sure you will not get a ban.
Track limits
  1. No more than 2 wheels over the white/yellow line without a complete lift of the gas please if it is safe to do so.
You will be penalized if you break our rules

Audi R8 LMS 2016 please. Qualy will be crucial, overtaking is very difficult around here. How about we go for a single file rolling start after a manual formation lap? A way to ease the T1 drama.

Yes I like your idea ...welcome aboard  ..anything to cut down on the first corner, first lap carnage ..your idea will certainly help.

If possible, please count me in for this one.
This time I will give a try at the ferrari 488

as I may start at the back, I will be very peaceful at start :D

I support the idea of no take over attempt until after curve 2.
Why not to start from starting line quietly (about 80 km/h) and maintain position until after curve 2 ? (a little like a Assetto corsa competitzione start)

Because of server issues, the qualy had a reset at the last race (chang international). To regain the qualy positions we did a formation lap and a flying start afterwards. The idea for this came from @Trebucht and it was really nice and fun at the same time. This also brought some variation of the normal starting procedure - I would like to see this more often
