GTR2 and Simucube2

HI guys, I would like to have a quick recap about what is needed to run GTR2 in 2021 with a Simucube2, anybody here runs it with the same wheel? Also, is there a workaround for the USB limits or is it hardcoded in the game?
Thank you all, have a nice day.

Anyway Mouse-keyboard are not included in the 3 USB devices it seems as I use:
- T300RS replacing a previous G27
- TH8 shifter on a separate USB ( reason is above et I didn't change it )
- Fanatec V3 inverted

But the Stream Deck doesn't work while it does with newer sims.

Hi, I'd love to hear your experience with the SC2. I'm tempted to move to that wheel after 6 years with the AF1.

Try my ffb mod here with settings tuned for a few different wheels including my dd which I hope translates well to your wheel.

Thanks a lot for the link.
Well, I didn't try any other dd aparr from the osw simucube1, but I think sc2 is a big step forward from first gen dd wheels, which includes af1 too..with slew rate, slow force reduction and ultra low latency it solves all main problems with older dd, and having all electronics included into the base is a pretty neat solution. I wouldn't necessarily advice the upgrade from a sc1 since those filters are being applied to those wheels too, but I would say it's totally worth over a af1

Glad to hear they've made significant improvements. I believe it watching all the videos. I always wished for just something more from the AF1, more strength, more clarity, more smoothness, but it's also difficult to believe they've come much further, but I guess they have.

If you do modify the ffb in any way, I'd be happy to include your PLR in the mod for your SC2.

hi guys, so I managed to get GTR2 up and running with latest 10th anniversary patch and the custom ffb file, already a huge improvement over the vanilla vesrsion. as soon as I end with a final ffb configuration, I'll post here PLR file and True Drive profile for SC2.
I just have a couple of questions :
- everytime I enter the game, I find the ffb parameters have been resetted from the changes I made over the custom PLR, what am I doing wrong? do I also need to copy the PLR.txt file into /user?
- I play on an ultrawide 32:9 monitor, is there any way to edit the FOV? as it is now, the only resolution I can use to have a playable experience is 2560x1080, and my monitor is 3840x1080
thanks all

To adjust fov in car : CTRL+LEFT MOUSE BUTTON+DRAG MOUSE UP/DOWN to your taste.

About PLR, if you don't run CrewChief plugin then right click on both gtr2.exe then gtr2config.exe to check RUN AS ADMINISTRATOR and run GTR2_DEBUG.CMD : it will remove the second PLR file in mydocuments that GTR2 creates on modern windows when you do not set windows compatibility/admin rights. I guess you have modified Ffb PLR in your main Gtr2 install and not the one in mydocuments.

It is not plr.txt.
It is your prolile_name.plr
In your Gtr2 install directory right click on gtr2config.exe and set priorities to run as administrator
That way you will always have the user files in the local UserData folder.

FOV you can change with hold 'CRTL+ Left mouse button' and move the mouse
You can edit the cam file in UserData called defviews.com
Find LocalCam=COCKPIT
Fov=(82.500000, 62.00000)

The 62.00000 are the horizontal FOV you can set it to any value you want.
With the 'CRTL+ Left mouse button' you can adjust 50% so with 62 degrees you should be able to adjust between 31 and 93 degrees.
The first figure 82.500000 doesn't matter the game calculate that from your screens aspect ration

Have fun with Gtr2.

@Shovas Is the specialist here in wheel/ffb so I am sure he can give you tips :)

AFAIK GTR2 is limited to the first 3 usb devices and usb order is important so sometimes it helps to unplug then replug usb in different order. There was a little tool on github called devreorder which helps to reoder your usb devices.
Hey GTR; it doesn't appear as though the Stream Deck (that I'd like to use as a button box by way of keyboard inputs from it on hotkey press) is being picked up as a controller or device that devreorder sees as it only sees my two Fanatec components (pedals and wheel). Is there something I need to do to log it as a different device?
