Hmm yeah you're right. But now i have two problems.

I do not have this mod, so I am not certain if the black cockpit texture is as designed by the author.
You probably have the wheels turned off in your :GTR2\UserData\<player name\"<player name>.plr". I suggest you verify the line Wheels Visible In Cockpit="1": If the line ends with "0" you will never see the front wheels of any car.
