F1 2010 Help please R.E xbox steering wheel

Hi, i have just got the MadCatz2 sterring wheel for xbox 360

My problem is the cable i need to plug into the xbox doesnt plug in anywhere

Does anyone know if i need some sort of adapter so i can plug it into the USB slot? And if so what its called?

For real? Like there isnt a USB plug on the end of the wheel and a USB socket under the power switch on the Eggsbox?

Thats the wheel i have, but instead of a USB plug, it has a round plug

Where did you buy it? e-bay from somewhere foreign? Take it Maplins, sure those guys will have an adapter.

My friend gave me it, he said he took it out the box but never used it, and there was no other cables or plugs.

He didnt give me the box, and said he got it as a gift.

Strange, i have that wheel and used it on the Xbox (which i sold because i upgraded my pc) and now i use it on my pc. However mine does have the USB connector and no need for any adaptor.

what you describe is the connector for an original xbox, not an xbox 360.

This is not connected to this discussion, but I've read there is an F1 style steering wheel in development by Fanatec. It's supposed to be ready around the time F1 2011 is released, and compatible with all the main platforms. Here's a link to some info:
