Hidden Special Classes Make for Good Single Class Racing

While testing some AI changes I noticed some CAR file classes were not represented in the Specials category when selecting cars. So, I looked at all the classes in every CAR file and added the class tags I could find as selectable in the Specials category in-game:

G2's 2003
G2's 2004
NG3's 2003
NG3's 2004
SP2's 2004
GT3 Cup

Edit GameData\SIM_Specials.gdb and add them in like this:

SpecialClasses
{
GT_2003 = GT's 2003
GT_2004 = GT's 2004
NG_2003 = NGT's 2003
NG_2004 = NGT's 2004
G2_2003 = G2 2003
G2_2004 = G2 2004
NG3_2003 = NG3 2003
NG3_2004 = NG3 2004
SP2_2004 = SP2 2004
GT3CUP AND: 2003 = GT3 Cup 2003
GT3CUP AND: 2004 = GT3 Cup 2004

24H_2003 = 24H of Spa 2003
24H_2004 = 24H of Spa 2004
BMW = Bavarians
ITALIAN = Italian Passion
FERRARI = The Prancing Horse
AM = American Muscle
PORSCHE = Porsche Posse
BB = British Beef
}

I've attached some screenshots of the new classes.

Anyone know why the NG_2003 class doesn't show up at all in the category list?

There are two cars, the Porsche GT3-RS and the Ferrari 360 Modena with that tag. Those cars even show up if I select Spa 2003. But the label disappears completely for NGT's 2003. I don't get it.

Furthermore, the stock GDB contains FERRARI and PORSCHE categories but they don't appear either. Makes me think it has something to do with the Steam version not having those car liveries but I thought that was just liveries not category listings.

EDIT: Okay, so GDB's are keyword filtered and excluded for "Porsche" and "Ferrari" in the label (not the tag) so I renamed them:

FERRARI = Enzo's Exotics
PORSCHE = Ferdinand's Friends

Still haven't solved the NG_2003 thing.

EDIT2: So, not sure why it worked, but removing the apostrophes from the labels for NG_2003/2004 allowed it to show up. Apostrophes for all the other lines and my new labels for Enzo's and Ferdinand's still works, though.

You can check this out:
There is a hardcoded Ferrari / Porsche thing in the exe. By changing it these should appear again.

To be honest, I simply use @The Iron Wolf's Crew Chief plugin to achieve this on the Steam EXE, and it brings so much more to the table.

I've stopped using non-Steam EXEs. You can run the EXE without admin privs and that makes other things work so much more smoothly, like Afterburner FPS overlay, for example. It just feels right.

There are a bunch of new features in the Crew Chief plugin beyond just Crew Chief, like for example flatspotting, wipers, etc.

Mini announcement - me and Retrolux been working on enabling DXVK for GTR2. I already have it working nicely in 2D cobined with CC, but I am working on VR part of it. I see some FPS boost and in some cases, reduced memory usage. But most importantly DXVK is alive and evolving, and it has tons of configuration options - it's quite possible a lot of potential is hidden in them (fingers crossed we'll get some memory back by using DXVK).
