How do I get and put the Race Deparment logo on my iRacing cars?

Gaz,

iRacing uses its own in built paint schemes via the Car Paint section as you'll probably have already realised.

To add your own paint schemes, you'll need to download the car templates and then create your own designs with these templates using the likes of Photoshop, Paint Shop Pro, GIMP, etc.

You then need to save the finished article as a .tga and save it in the appropriate car folder in:-

C:\Users\**Name**\Documents\iRacing\paint\cars

and also the file needs to be named the same as your iRacing account number eg. 12345.tga

You can then share this file with friends and the just add it to the appropriate car paint folder and then whenever they race against you, instead of seeing the stock iRacing design, they'll see your own user created design.

Another way of handling the paint files is to use Trading Paints (www.tradingpaints.com) which is a free site that allows you to upload/download paint schemes and it automatically saves them to the appropriate folders.

Have a browse in the Paint/Showroom folders over at iRacing for further assistance.
