Loading Screen (rfactor)

I know it's not technically a BTB question ( :) ) , but I want to do a custom loading screen to replace the BTB-generated one that displays when the track is loading in RFactor.

Is there a specific size of image / pixel ratio? What if people run different resolutions? Some people have widescreen, some have normal, does this compress the image?

Any tips or advice from those in the know most welcome!

In the folder ".../rFactor/gamedata/locations/yourtrack/ you can find a file called "yourtrack_loading.jpg". That is the background picture you see when you load in your track in rFactor. Replace this file with a picture of your choice and rename it to "yourtrack_loading.jpg".

The ISI tracks all have it at 800 x 600 pixels, the same as the standard BTB one, I know 1024 x 768 works fine as well.

If you use a widescreen monitor it stretches the image to fit. I guess if you use a widescreen image it would squash it in to fit on a standard monitor.
