Do you have asw on auto or disabled in the debug tool?

auto. it only kicks in during night races for me. SS within the tray tool should be default. only set it in the game itself

Thanks its just I notice only 45 fps at race starts but apparently, that is asw kicking in? Looks ok still

Yeh I wouldn't worry about it

I'm still really new at VR. How is what the tray tool does different from setting super sampling or other things in the game/config?

Everything the tray tool does you can do manually via other means. the tray tool adds lot of functionality which can be managed in one place. One of the great thing actually is profiling.

Although for the likes of PC2 where there are in game SS options, leave SS for PC2 at 0 in the tray tool and manage within the game itself.

Other functions include ensuring USB power management options and registry tweaks

its a quality of life tool and makes no difference to the VR settings I suggest

If you're not that bothered about some jaggies, an alternate route is:

- All settings on High in Performance
- Anisotropic Filtering on 16x
- Motion Blur and Enhanced Mirrors off
- All settings to your liking in Visuals
- MSAA off
- Post AA on SMAA Ultra
- SuperSampling on 1.0

Solid 90fps with a 1080 Founders Edition, bare the absolute craziest scenarios, like 29 GT3 cars at sunset, heavy rain, headlights/track lights already on, and all cars in the pits at the end of a race.
