is there a way to choose the amount of AI opponents in an offline race to use the class default, cos depending on the class ive chosen, i have to adjust the No. of opponents manually to reflect the true amount of drivers, and in the WTCC's case, there is more drivers than the number off opponents i can have! (30 summat)

Ok, To change the number of AI in a race go into the tracks file in locations and go to a file called the GDB file, in there scroll down to near the bottom to where it says Max. Vehicles. Change it to the number of cars you want but anything over 50 it normally doesnt work. A good way of checking is addding up the garage spots in the GDB file also, hopw this helps.

Would be a nice feature, but no you can't.
