Problem With Thrustmaster T300rs + Ferrari F1 add on

Been using my TM T300 for while now, along with my Ferrari wheel and today I had a problem downshifting gears. Im into season 3 on F1 2018 and did 10 seasons on F1 2017 months ago and today whilst in career mode in Baku Q3 I was suddenly unable to downshift gears, yet use that paddle to navigate the menus perfectly, was wondering if anyone had any ideas on what the problem could be?

If you can navigate through the menus it shouldn't be a hardware fault, which is good. You can also check by opening the driver preferences in windows and look if the button is recognized when playing.
Also make sure you are on latest wheel firmware ( https://support.thrustmaster.com/en/product/t300rs-en/ ).

Dumb question.. did you check if the downshift-button has been unbound in the game settings somehow? Other than that I don't have any other idea right now.

It is a hardware problem as I now cant use it to navigate the menus, nor does it respond when I go onto the control schemes... any idea on what to do next?
