PS4 controller

Guys

I have a wheel and pedals for my PC, but for some games, also obviously non racing I had a controller, this packed up a bit ago, and found I could use my PS4 controller aswell.

But it also seems to pick it up as a sound device, so hard to play with a headset too. So am looking at trying to play via bluetooth.

Anyone have any issues similar, I see there was an official dongle you could buy but it was bloody expensive for what is basically a bluetooth dingle. I dont want to spend tons in case it doesn't work, but it surely must be viable?
 
You can connect it with a standard bluetooth adapter if you already have one


I used it briefly, but I tend to mostly use the PC for sim racing, so I don't know if there are any limitations connecting it that way over the official one
 
I was wondering if this was a Sony/Apple type thing in that you can ONLY use that over priced thing as an adapter?

My PC has no adapter or Bluetooth function, so would have to buy a little USB dongle
