Qualifying: 12th with a 1:51.344
Race: 8th

It always beats me why after so long a qualifying session where people have the chance to show just how fast they can go that they then feel the need to make amends and get as far up the front as they can within the first 2 or 3 corners. Guys if you were not good enough to get up front after 30 minutes of qualifying then why try to get there withing 2 or 3 corners? We have 80 minutes of great racing ahead of us or at least most of us would have but what usually happens is that some guy muscles past a better driver at the start then spends the next couple of laps constantly watching his mirror as the faster driver crawls all over the back of him looking for a way past and it usually ends with the poorer driver crashing out ending his race (and maybe others) all to prematurely.

Ok rant over now :wink2:

This is one of the reason as to why I waited for you after the head on we had. Thought there was no point trying to race you when you qualified 2 secs a lap quicker than what I was doing. However, if I was quicker, then I would make anyone fight for position :laugh2:
Hope I didn't cause too much damage to you as I did not see you till late facing the wrong way. :good:

Can't remember these Mini races ever not being fun and last night didn't disapoint :) had some great battles with Gary, Carlos and Nigel and was in with a shout until my pit stop but I think my pit crew may have been sipping at Andrews cider as they took forever and I lost a bit of time but was only 3 secs behind Gary with about 8 laps to go when I hit the nice soft tyres at the chicane :bulgy-eyes: was amazed I was still going and came home in P4, congrats to podium and thanks to Yves and RD for setting this up :kiss2:

@ Bob: Your move at T1 was total legit racing mate, the door was wide open to invite you in,anyone would go for that, the nudge was just that..a small rub that happens in tin top racing all the time, maybe just those stone cold tyres made David slew out a bit more than expected.

@ Nigel: Its not your job or concern to roll over and let me go past, believe me no one else did nor do i ever expect anyone to,i created my own problems by not having the car in gear to start dropping down into the marauding pack.
You won the race on speed and merit m8,you made the start properly and didnt smack into barriers half wrecking your car and ran a solid race to the end as the rightful "Winnah".

@ David: I was watching the gap down the straight each lap after our pits and worked out you would soon be on my tail for a pass with my modified go-slow Mini,i was already thinking up some defence strategy when you bought the tyres and let me go :).

Andrew - I'm afraid I'm going to have to pull out of this one. Apologies - the Good Lady Wife has just informed me that, instead of going home at 5.00 from the in-laws, some more in-laws are actually arriving at 5, meaning we're now not going to be leaving much before 8.00. :in-law fury:

Seeing as how my in-laws tick every available stereotype box, I feel like I'm in the 7th circle of Hell.

Maximum Gah-age. :disapointed:

Quali in 17th , then when the race started it was a big mess in front of me , i tried to avoid a side car but it was impossible ( don´t remember who:sorry: ) but , not sure how , in T3 i was 6th  behind Paulo and with damaged suspension .
As i was starting from behind i had a " brillant " idea to change my pit strategy : Start with full tank to delay my pit and change only the front tyres and fill only 15L gas . Didn't work for 2 reasons :
1. With 25 laps the front tyres were finished .
2. I made a mistake in presets and stead to change only the front tyres , my crew changed the rear tyres only
Of course my Mini became impossible to drive and i hit the tyres in chicane .
Meanwhile i had great battles with David , and Ben and a special congrats to Neil as he was stuck behind me about 10 laps or so wainting for a clear and safe spot to overtake , nice move mate :clap2:
