RD Fun Contest - Best Racing Engine Ever Made (I Turn)

First ... in former times it was a usual procedure to store cast parts outside for a longer time. That helps to relax the material before machining.
Cheers

As a matter of fact BMW used blocks that had been run in road cars for a period.
Not stored outside and not used as a urinal.
'Roading' puts an engine block through thermal and related stress cycles.
And a point of order: when the subject of this poll is 2-3-4 cylinders why do people go off theme and rabbit on about every other configuration?
Common sense is in short supply!

The most successful engine is the Mercedes Benz. Used since 1st Grandprix 1950. Has been put in cars Trucks vans and even tanks. The same basic engine in a wide range of models.

Less cylinders makes a lighter engine and better handling. But you give up sound. The F1 Turbo v6 engine is good on Torque and power but sounds like a sewing machine. Its like when i watched formula e the buzzing noise made me think i was watching Radio Control cars.

For the people who vote V8's in this thread; read the thread description.

Personally I remember the roaring V2 motorcycle engine, like the Ducati. Of the available choices, I voted the V2.
