This might be worth sharing… With some extreme luck, I found a real Ferrari 488 steering wheel that comes from a 488 that crashed at Spa-Francorchamps.
The wheel weighs 1.571kgs and is 315mm wide and feels at least as good as it looks. The suede is as new, the buttons and rotaries/encoders have very positive tactile feedback, and the magnetic carbon shifters are crisp.
While I would love to own this wheel myself, it's 'a bit' too pricey for me... But when I told Zach from Turn Racing about this beauty, he got so excited that he decided to buy it. He's going to use it for research and development to take his replica steering wheels to the next level. He'll probably convert it for simulator use too.
In return for my help with picking it up and shipping it to him, he’s going to build me a Audi R8 LMS 2020 steering wheel with dual clutches for a reduced price!
