[REL] Ginetta G60-LT-P1 LMP1

Global Endurance Modding presents the very first current-generation LMP1 car for rFactor 2: the Ginetta G60-LT-P1.

The non-hybrid Le Mans Prototype has raced in the FIA World Endurance Championship, as well as the 24 Hours of Le Mans. It is driven by an AER P60B/C 2.4L V6 Turbocharged engine and houses an X-Trac 7-Speed Sequential gearbox. The car made its debut at the 2018 24 Hours of Le Mans with a double entry under the CEFC TRSM banner. After being unable to attend the full 2018/19 season of the FIA WEC, the car returned on the grid in 2019/20 under the Team LNT banner. After 4 races, a lot of damage at Bahrain causing the cars being unable to run at Circuit of the Americas, the Covid-19 pandemic struck them out of competition for the remainder of the season. Unsure if there will be an entry in 2021, this might be the end of Ginetta’s LMP1 program.

Where the real world program seems to end, the virtual car comes to life in rFactor 2. After spending nine months on it, learning almost everything during the process, we are finally ready for release. The 3D model was built from scratch by Valjouss and later adapted and perfected by Frederick Alonso from GEM and Nick9320 from Advanced Simulation. They also worked day and night for the past months to create the best possible textures, applying the latest shaders to perfection, apply animations and lighting and make sure every part of the car looks as good as it can be.

Meanwhile, Danny de Haas (haasje33) has created some top-quality skins, recreating the CEFC TRSM skins from Le Mans 2018, the Team LNT skins from last season and a one-off test livery used during a private test at MotorLand Aragon in 2019.

All sounds were edited by Frederick Alonso, using high quality samples from real footage of the car, the AER engine and the X-Trac gearbox to give the car an authentic sound.

The physics were made from scratch by Advanced Simulation, providing unique and authentic LMP1 physics, including an entirely new tyre model that can keep up with the tremendous amount of speed and downforce that are characteristic for these cars.

It’s time for you to try it out for yourself. If you like it, leave a like in the Steam Workshop and share it with your friends.

The car is free, but none of this would be possible without some serious investments. If you like the car, please donate a few bucks (https://www.paypal.com/cgi-bin/webscr?cmd=_s-xclick&hosted_button_id=GC2P7XSQPV4J8&source=url) to help us cover the costs of our future projects. All donations are very much appreciated.
