Save car.ini

When trying to save my cockpit view i am given 3 options for saving my view
1.Save car.ini
2.Save Dash
3.Save
trouble is no matter what one i select it doesn't save my settings at all
any experts know the right way to do this

You can't save car.ini and Dash for cars with encrypted data folder like the Kunos McLaren in your screenshot. Those two buttons are supposed to be used when making cars (and don't usually show up with data not being editable). Just click save and it saves the view position separately.

does it save the view position on a per car basis?

Yes, if you use that app it applies changes only to the car you're in.
