Ulm Minster currently boasts the tallest church tower in the world: 161.53 m. The floor plan of the cathedral is 123.46 m long, by 48.8 m wide. The total area is around 8,260 m².2
Under normal conditions, the cathedral offers seating for 2000 people, although under certain circumstances up to 4500 seats can be enabled.
In the Middle Ages, there was space for 20,000 people, as it was then customary to attend religious functions standing up.
