MGP13 split screen

i have one question:
Can i go split screen mode whit keybord and some gamepad (xbox360 controller for windows)?????

because when i go singleplayer whit keybord or xbox360 controller everything working but when i want to play split screen mode i set PLAYER 1 control to keybord in the menu, second (controller) arent working when asked me for 2nd player (press start button). I pressing button but nothing

I thing that one way how i can play splitscreen mode is = playing whit two controllers.....??? ( IS IT TRUE? )

I waste a lot of time sitting at computer to find something, so if anyone know what is the problem please told me it
