Thrustmaster FERRARI 250 GTO WHEEL ADD-ON

M D Gourley

Premium
WOW...Thrustmaster are really upping the quality with this Ferrari 250 GTO wheel add on with this Vintage First Edition new wood-crafted masterpiece...and at a premium price too at £349.99 (taxes included) and available from December 20, 2017
Yes, it would aimed at the specialist market and Ferrari fans, but I think in conjunction with the '70th Anniversary of Ferrari' and 'Assetto Corsa' releasing their pack including the 'Ferrari 250 GTO' a very rear Ferrari...what better way to drive your Ferrari 250 GTO in Assetto Corsa with a authientic Ferrari 250 GTO wheel add on.
Thrustmaster has therefore chosen to only produce a limited number of these replica wheels as well, in homage to the extreme rarity of the original car.....I feel this is a brilliant piece of marketing from Thrustmaster..

Considering I could buy a Fanatec button wheel thingy and an actual replica wheel rim for the same price, and that includes button... now, the wheel rim looks lovely but that much for that *little* functionality IMO, it's out of reach for me!

P.T. Barnum said it best.
No need for me to repeat it for the 'millionth' time.
I'd never pay that kind of money to Thrustmaster, Fanatec or anyone else for that matter, for a simple steering wheel rim....and certainly not for a belt-driven wheel base.

Not really sure that very many people will be interested in this.

Thanks for showing some interest.....Ferrari themselves have signed off on this replica product and with a limited number in production I think it will be a collectors edition wheel.

It's cute, and I'm sure there is a market for a simple wheel but as others have said this is in the fanatec price point and I know which I'd rather have.

I think an updated formula rim would probably sell better, maybe reduce the price to £100.
