Ahh that's an easy one. The -100 is equal to the maximum diameter of the steering wheel when multiplied by the FFB spindle strength. In conjunction with the diameter of the given road wheels, this force is elementary.
As for the potholes, the damn potholes, avoid them like the plague, they are particularly bad for low profile alloy rims on sunny days.
