GT5 Using G27 - Back end keeps stepping out?

Hello everyone.
I'm relatively new to GT5. I just started using my Logitech G27 wheel yesterday.
I've noticed that when I start to break at the end of a straight, the back end always steps out and I lose control.

The wheel is always dead-straight under braking, but I can't seem to keep the car straight when I get on the brakes.

Any tips that anyone can give me?

Is that turn ABS on? Turn it off?

I'd rather not start putting assists on in order to make driving easier

I was at GT planet for a while, and many people have ABS on.....it's probably because the braking has lower fidelity that the effect when applying the brake is like a on/off switch.

i always use abs-1, not more than that, when i turn it off it is a lot harder to drive

If you're not using ABS it's vital that you adjust brake balance - try 3F 1R as a starting point, it will vary for different cars, but this should definitely help...
