Why No Time Trials Available?

As mentioned in another thread, I'm just getting into iRacing after not being very active in my first few months. As such, I'd consider myself still a brand new iRacer, although I have experience with other sims.

I really prefer hotlapping over online racing, and I'd like to get up to speed <pun intended> by running a few Time Trials. Although I think that I figured out where to find the time trials (click on "Race Now", then "TT" ? ), I don't see any available to join. There are plenty of practices, qualifying sessions and races listed, but not even one Time Trial. Not even one where I'd have to download additional content. Is there a reason for that? Maybe I'm still looking in the wrong place?

Can anyone help me out with finding where the Time Trials are?

In the new Beta UI I can't see time trials: only way to access them is via the iracing.com portal.
Even then, I think TimeAttack events are maybe promoted more?
Maybe they are moving people away from TT and onto TimeAttack competitions?
