Hi,
I have been now working on Brickyard Legends Legacy / Papag21's mesh, which was ment to be be BMW 1602 / 2002. The model work has been now in complete stop 4 years and as there's now team lead by Greg7 finalizing cars in their planned configuration (and with Papag21's permission), I thought that it has become time to me make the 1600 TI mod I planned releasing after BYL finishes their versions.
As I have old permission from Papag21 that I can do what ever I want with the 3D stuff he has done, I took the unfinished 1602 mod and 3 years old 1600TI physics and started looking how to make Papag21's 3D models really shine.
So, the target is cars that Alpina run in ETCC 1970 and won the Division 2 class.
So far I have done some small 3D work, chrome parts mapping, new template for the one bodystyle. There is 3 bodystyles which all are also shown in 1600TI Group 2 FIA homologation documents so I am trying to get them all included. BYL beta model had 7 different wheel styles but they all were with 15" wheels which is wayy to big for the 1970. So, I have converted (and fixed, these had wrong size as well) 13" wheels from "1970 Escorts" -Mod.
funnily enough, I planned this car to 2019 season already so the physics have been very close to be finished 3 years already.
There is still lot to be done, but as this is coming to NoGrip Legacy HTC season 2022, the release deadline has been set to February.
I am not the biggest fan of BMWs, but I can assure that more than anything I hate is sloppy modding, especially if it's done by me so expect no less quality than Gianninis.
