F1 2010 xbox live disconnections

F1 2010 The Game (Codemasters)
Hi guys, just thought I might share something I found out just today. I often had disconnections (and a lot of other users too..) After testing my connection, the xbox said I had a limited NAT connection. That is because I use a router (which has I firewall..But that's another problem) To correct that, I had to configure the router so it forwards the following ports:
  • Port 88 (UDP)
  • Port 3074 (UDP and TCP)
  • Port 53 (UDP and TCP)
  • Port 80 (TCP)
If you google "xbox ports forwarding" + the brand of your router, you'll easily find out how to do that.

ope that helps.

Too early to tell, but it didn't fix my other problem: I can't use the in game force feedback with my Fanatec steering wheel, the wheel disconnects every 15 minutes...

That sounds like an issue with the wheel, not the xbox. Your spot on with the NAT type, it screws around with connections in multiplayer all the time. An easy fix is to go into network settings, and then test xbox live connection. This will automatically find the best settings for you to use at the time. I just mention this for the less tech savvy players.
