Hey everyone!

Here's my AI racing lines and hints for Monaco 2020 layout! For so long, I wanted to get into a procession with the AI at 100% strength around Monaco without them getting absolutely obliterated at Sainte Devote, or getting stuck at the Grand Hotel hairpin.

Track: monaco_2020 (Ofitus21)
Extensions / Layouts:
Alas, nothing is perfect - I've studied the hairpin for 3 days straight, funneling the AI through various ways and landed on two AI line options.

Option 1: For cars that can turn through the hairpin at low speed and squeeze 'wheel-to-wheel' - inner car may slow down at exit

Don't be fooled by the photo - AI wheel to wheel racing ends by Lap 1 - the procession must go on :D

Option 2: For chonky cars that cannot go wheel-to-wheel at the hairpin or understeer at low speed - cars try to enter single-filed into the hairpin section by filtering at Casino corner

Procession.exe installed
Regardless of which option, the AI might find its way to screw itself over somehow lmao, so restart or try the other option if it does.

How to Install
  1. (Optional) Backup the existing AI files by renaming them with a .bak extension. (i.e. C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\assettocorsa\content\tracks\monaco_2020\ai)
  2. Delete any pre-existing payload.bin files in the "ai" folder.
  3. Go back one directory up and go into the "data" folder (i.e. C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\assettocorsa\content\tracks\monaco_2020\data).
  4. Rename the existing side_l.csv and side_r.csv with a ".bak" extension - this is to prevent AC from overwriting the pre-baked sidelines. Repeat this process for the Pyyer layouts (i.e. C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\assettocorsa\content\tracks\monaco_2020\monaco_f1_2024\data).
  5. Extract the contents of the 7zip file and choose which option you'd like to try first.
  6. Copy the "content" folder and paste it into your AC installation folder (i.e. C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\assettocorsa).
  7. Replace files when requested.
  8. If your cars hate the first option, repeat steps with the other option.
You do not have to press Shift during loading - the sidelines I defined should already be baked into the .ai files. :)

What's in the setup folder and how to use?
Some cars will not make it through the hairpin without setting their setups to maximum downforce, low ride heights and maximum steering assist. I've included AI setups for several cars.
  1. Copy the "setups" folder and paste it into your AC documents folder (i.e. C:\Users\USERNAME\Documents\Assetto Corsa). The AI will use these setups when the game loads.
You can easily make these setups for any car in-game by changing the Aero, Ride Height and Steer Assist and saving the setup as ai_default for the specific track (i.e. monaco_2020).

  • [Option 2] Cars filtering into single file past Casino corner might trip over each other
Let me know if you encounter any issues or want more default AI setups for other cars. Thanks, and enjoy! :D

@TurnOne that new mod called "Azure" is not as good as monaco_2020 with Pyver extension and ClimaxF1 texture update.. i wouldnt be suprised if this mod works with it anyway as it seems a direct copy in layout.
Hey @TurnOne, love your videos. I see there's an "Azure" track in the Mega folder - I'm guessing that's a Project Cars 3 conversion. I'll consider if its better to race on (i.e. more space). Otherwise, I'll revisit my AI lines for Pyyer's 2024 extension for monaco_2020.
Thank you very much for these!
